Carshalton village is a lively and popular place to live, with a post office, bakers, chemist, a range of independent shops, as well as a selection of cafes, restaurants and many fine local pubs. Just down the road, in Wallington, is one of London’s oldest Farmers’ Markets.
Carshalton Ponds mark the visible western source of the River Wandle which reveals its own fantastic and unique history as it winds into central London along the Wandle trail.
The Borough has an excellent reputation for its outstanding schools. Within a short walk there are swimming pools, gyms, sports centres and a library.
The area is rich in community spirit with events and activities throughout the year making use of the wonderful local environment. Events include the Environmental Fair, the Frost Fair, Artists’ Open Studio Weekends, the
Carshalton Charter Fair, a Carnival and a huge Fireworks night.
